Our school building

A new chapter for Turku International School

Turku International School began an exciting new chapter in January 2026, when the school moved into its new facilities at Untamonkatu 2, Kupittaa.

Our new home has a rich history. The oldest part of the building was originally completed in 1952 as the Tunturi bicycle factory. Over the years, it has served many purposes, including as teaching facilities for a University of Applied Sciences. Today, after an extensive renovation, the entire building has been transformed into a modern, functional, and inspiring learning environment for our students.

A significant milestone followed in August 2026, when our International Kindergarten began operating in its own dedicated facilities on the ground floor. The addition of the kindergarten strengthens the continuity of international education from early childhood through basic education.

The facilities have been designed with pedagogy, safety, and well-being in mind, providing a healthy and dynamic environment in the heart of Kupittaa. This prime location offers excellent transport connections and new opportunities for collaboration with local partners and the wider community.

We are delighted to have settled into our new home and look forward to continuing to grow and develop Turku International School in these vibrant new surroundings.
