Opening Ceremony at the new Turku International School <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The start of the Spring term was truly special as Turku International School finally moved into our brand-new building in Kupittaa, at Untamonkatu 2. To mark the occasion, we held a ribbon-cutting ceremony where Deputy Mayor Elina Rantanen and TIS Principal Elli Sainio gave speeches, welcoming everyone to a space that will be the heart of our international community for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turku International School Moves to New Facilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our school will begin the spring semester of 2026 in new facilities located in Kupittaa, at Untamonkatu 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The oldest part of the building was originally completed in 1952 to serve as the Tunturi bicycle factory. Since then, the premises have been used for various purposes, including as teaching facilities for a University of Applied Sciences. Now, the entire building has been almost completely rebuilt to become the new home of Turku International School<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A particularly exciting development is the addition of dedicated facilities for an international kindergarten on the ground floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe International School will receive a pedagogically and functionally designed, healthy and safe learning environment in a prime location in the heart of Kupittaa.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We look forward to welcoming our students, staff, and visitors to this modern and inspiring learning environment.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
